<strong>In order to be considered for this role after clicking "Apply Now" above and being redirected you must fully complete the application process on the follow-up screen.</strong> <br><br>Guest Services Assistant <br><br>POSITION: Guest Services Assistant <br><br>DEPARTMENT: Event Services <br>REPORTS TO: Manager of Event Services <br>FLSA STATUS: Part-time Hourly Non-Exempt <br><br>SUMMARY <br><br>The Guest Services Assistant will be responsible for providing world class customer service and hospitality to all guests. This individual understands that they have the ability to impact each guests experience and does everything that they can to enhance the experience while abiding by company policies. <br><br>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br><ul> <li>Meet and greet all guests check for valid tickets when necessary. </li><li>Be personal and proactive in providing assistance to all guests with the highest level of customer service and hospitality. </li><li>Assist guests by providing accurate directions to seating sections and key attractions within the Arena </li><li>Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work. </li><li>Receive and quickly act upon requests or complaints from guests; refer serious problems to supervisory staff. </li><li>Retain an extensive knowledge of Boeing Center at Tech Port layout seating sections key venue attractions key venue personnel identity and emergency activity procedures. </li><li>Enforce stadium and league rules regulations and policies. </li><li>Provide immediate assistance to and emergency notification of guests in the event of an accident or injury. </li><li>In the event of an emergency assist in evacuating arena while maintaining a calm professional demeanor. </li><li>Monitor all public areas to maintain order and safety. </li><li>Perform daily safety and security checks within assigned area as well as throughout the facility; report all substandard or inadequate findings to supervisory staff. </li><li>Cohesively work in conjunction with other departments including San Antonio Police Department security food service box office retail parking custodial/housekeeping and maintenance. </li><li>Perform additional functions and activities as directed by the Manager of Event Services. </li></ul>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required </li><li>1-2 years event services and/or guest service experience or related public relations promotions etc. required. </li><li>Must complete assigned Trained Crowd Management training within 2 weeks of onboarding date. </li></ul>SKILLS AND ABILITIES <ul><li>Must be age 18 or older. </li></ul> <ul><li>Nice warm and courteous. </li><li>Have strong interpersonal skills and are able to provide excellent customer service and hospitality. </li><li>Communicate articulately. </li><li>Maintain a professional appearance and grooming. </li><li>Able to stand for long periods of time. Walk long distances and climb stairs. </li><li>Must be a team player who is able to work well in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul>WORKING CONDITIONS <ul> <li>Working conditions involve noise heat changes in temperature kitchen elements odors moisture etc. </li><li>May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and staffing. </li><li>Must be willing to work evenings weekends and holidays. </li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS <ul> <li>Requires moderate physical efforts. Standing carrying bending stretching stooping pulling and pushing lifting of weights up to 50 pounds. </li><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
