Job Summary

The Order Execution Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of customer orders from receipt through shipment, supporting both commercial and government business. This role ensures timely, accurate, and efficient order processing while proactively resolving issues that may impact delivery.

The Order Execution Manager drives operational performance by improving order flow, removing bottlenecks, and increasing throughput. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Technical Support, this position plays a key role in enhancing on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency.

Primary Objective: Proactively identify issues that may lead to part delays, step in early, and take decisive action to resolve them.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Own order execution from receipt of customer PO through the repair process that begin to fall behind schedule and require immediate attention.
• Proactively identify risks impacting Expected Ship Date, customer need by dates, and delivery commitments.
• Resolve delays related to:

oPart sourcing challenges

oEngineering or technical data requirements

oShop evaluation and quoting timelines

oMaterial (Piece Parts) constraints

oBER replacement

• Lead resolution efforts leveraging Engineering, Aircraft Programs, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Serve as escalation point for order discrepancies, shop delays, and customer concerns.
• Monitor order flow and proactively address delays, constraints, and fulfillment issues.
• Increase throughput by identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Technical Support to ensure alignment and clear communication.
• Track and maintain visibility of order status, ensuring stakeholders are informed of progress and risks.
• Maintain accurate records of order activity, updates, and delivery commitments.
• Establish and refine standard operating procedures to improve consistency and performance.
• Provide regular reporting on order status, throughput, and operational performance metrics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to consistently achieve and improve the following:

• On-Time Delivery (OTD): ≥ 95%
• Order Cycle Time: Reduction in average days from order receipt to shipment
• Throughput: Increase in total orders/lines processed per period
• Order Accuracy Rate: ≥ 98% (minimal errors or rework)
• Backlog Reduction: Decrease in aged or delayed orders
• Issue Resolution Time: ???? and effectiveness in resolving escalations
• Process Improvement Impact: Measurable gains in efficiency and workflow performance.

Required Skills and Abilities

• 5–10 years of experience in order management, operations, or supply chain within aerospace, distribution, or parts industry.
• Experience in a component repair shop, MRO, or FAA Part 145 repair station environment.
• Working knowledge of sourcing, procurement, and material flow.
• ERP experienced
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
